For over 3,000 years, penguins have ruled in the frozen kingdom of Iluliaq. But one day, the penguin king vanished. Seals, polar bears, and other no flying birds have found an ancient legend written on the ice: "Whoever manages to conquer the Iceberg will be crowned the new king"
Before a game of Iluliaq (which means "Iceberg" in Inuit) you must build the iceberg. A central structure made from the cards and the game's box, where then players will throw their cards with the aim to have them rest on top of the iceberg.
When a card lands on the iceberg, the player who threw the card ends their turn with no further action. But if the card falls in the water (anything besides the top of the iceberg is considered the water) or pushes any other card into the water, that player must collect all of the fallen cards and place them in their own hand!
Some cards contain special Powers that activate once they land on the iceberg. For example, once the bear has landed on the iceberg, it has the ability to eat the first card that lands directly above. This action forces the player who threw the card, the card that landed on top of the bear, to take a new card from the central deck into their own hand. Another animal with a special power is the seal, which has the ability to remain in the water when falling from the iceberg rather than going back into the player's hand. The first player with no remaining cards in their hand, wins the game!
