Choose a starting player (it could be the youngest). They start and then in clockwise order you take turns playing cards from your hand on top of each other, creating a pile. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins.

When it is your turn you must play a card if you can. If you cannot play you must instead draw new cards from the deck and eventually play or pass. What you are allowed to play always depends on the most recent played card at the top of the pile on the table. You must either play a card that is A) a higher value or B) a lower value. You can never play a card of equal value.
