In addition to the 40 missions about the everyday life of the police, there is a very extensive "Free Play" mode as well. In this, the player will receive notifications about operations via radio that he can then accept. Altogether, this mode includes 100 more operations that can take place at various locations and various daytimes. Accidents can be more or less severe and may include trucks. The fully equipped patrol car houses all material needed to secure the site and examine the accident. Emergency vehicles from the fire brigade and rescue service complete the accident site.
The player can also use the "Please follow" sign of the patrol car and wave suspicious cars over. Those drivers that try to escape have to be chased down and stopped.
In the course of an inspection, the driver has to be checked for alcohol abuse, possession of drugs and orderly constitution of his car.
The simulation covers a total Autobahn length of 40 kilometres (ca. 25 miles). Some sections have a speed limit. On those, the player can perform speed checks from within an unmarked car.
Close-to-reality radio communication creates the appropriate atmosphere – just like the day and night mode which ensures thrilling blue-light operations in the dark.
The game offers a view from within the car as well as an exterior camera that can be moved freely. If present, a steering wheel can be used to control the simulation even more comfortably.
